Here at SDSU eSports we are nothing without our devoted members. Our members are the cornerstone of who we are. They are the players on our competitive teams that compete in nationwide tournaments to represent SDSU. They are the faces that fill Peterson Gym during our meetings. They are the friends who expand our community to others. They are the leaders who step up and join the executive board. Without our members--without you--we wouldn't be SDSU eSports.

Our games

We sponsor teams for many popular games. Our teams currently play in Overwatch, League of Legends, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, and Rocket League. We also host tournaments for the Fighting Game Community, which includes games like Tekken, Street Fighter, Dragonball FighterZ, and Super Smash Brothers for Wii U and Melee. We also provide a home for other areas of gaming as well. Many of our members enjoy trading card games, board games, and retro video games. If there's any game you feel is missing, we would love to add it to our library.
Our Mission Statement
We strive to unite students interested in all aspects of gaming including, competitive, casual, and game development. We aim to create a friendly environment that everyone feels comfortable in. We want to foster a community where anyone can make new friends, try new games, and advance their gaming skills.
Our History
SDSU eSports was founded in October of 2011 by Jesse Castaneda. Since then, there have been four succeeding Presidents who have each fostered growth in their own way. Each year, our club continues to expand to include new games and genres, and host one large LAN event each semester.
